B.           WITNESSING IN THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

Every Christian has been commissioned by the Lord Jesus Christ to be a “Fisher-of-men” and this long occupation can be an exciting adventure.  We can be affective in fishing for men (i.e. witnessing) and disciple these converts as we follow this scriptural formulae given in the Word of God.

This outline gives you an 8-step plan as the Lord basically instructed for effective witnessing and discipleship:

1.            Be sure you are a Christian. Jn 1:12, 1Jn 1:9, Act 19:13-17, 1Jn 5:11-12

2.            Be sure there is no unconfessed sins(s) in your life. Isa. 59:1-2, Prov. 28:30

3.            Be sure you are filled with the Holy Spirit. Gal.5:22, Eph.5:18,Ezek. 36:26-27, Zak. 4:6,

Rom.8:14, Act 1:8                            -

4.            Be prepared to share your faith with others. 1 Pet.3:15, 2Cor.10:4-5

5.            Make a list of people who need Christ and PRAY for them.

6.            Go in love even though it is a command to obey.

7.            Talk about Jesus Christ. Act 4:12, 1Cor. 2:1-2

8.            Expect Results. Isa.55:10-11

C.     SUMMARY

The Secret of successful evangelism is

a)      Be at the right place at the right time.

b)      Simply share Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit

c)      Let the Holy Spirit do the convicting, and

d)      Be prepared to nurture the convert to maturity a life-long process.
